The American Cancer Society estimates more than 3,940 North Dakotans will be diagnosed with cancer and 1,280 cancer-related deaths will occur in 2019. Estimates also indicate 1.7 million Americans will hear the words “you have cancer” this year.

Proceeds from the event will help ACS CAN advance legislation at the local, state and federal levels that will reduce cancer rates and better the lives of those who have been diagnosed with cancer. ACS CAN is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society that supports evidence-based policy and legislative solutions designed to eliminate cancer as a major health problem.
