Our volunteers spoke up and Governor Northam listened!

Your voices made a difference!

We asked our volunteers to send an e-mail to Governor Northam in opposition to a state bill that would have expanded the length of time that people could utilize short-term insurance plans. This bill was a bad idea because plans like this can allow for discrimination against people with pre-existing health conditions, such as cancer.

ACS CAN volunteers took action and helped prevent Virginia from moving backwards. Governor Northam vetoed this and similar bills!
