Cancer Awareness Day at the Capitol

Join fellow cancer survivors, caregivers and advocates from around NM to tell your lawmakers that cancer must be a top priority! 
The Day at the Capitol will feature an in-depth look at our advocacy agenda, training on how to speak to lawmakers, and free lunch. Volunteers will then head to the Roundhouse to meet with their legislators.

ACS CAN provides a train ticket for those traveling from Valencia and Bernalillo Counties; and hotel rooms for January 28 are available for those traveling more than 2 hours.

Our priorities this year are:

• Maintaining funding for tobacco use prevention and cessation programs
• Increasing the tax on tobacco products
• Maintaining funding for the Breast and Cervical Early Detection and Treatment Program 

Day at the Capitol is a free event, but we ask that you register by January 23. Space is limited so please register today!
