Volunteers are the heart of the American Cancer Society and play an essential role in the fight against all cancers, including breast cancer.
Your reasons for fighting back are as unique and special as the story that motivates you. Maybe you volunteer in honor of a breast cancer survivor with the memory of their journey still fresh in your mind. Maybe you lost a loved one to breast cancer and you are volunteering in their memory.
Maybe your own breast cancer experience motivates your efforts. Or maybe you volunteer to make sure that, one day, no one will ever have to
hear the words “you have breast cancer.” Whatever your motivation, when you join our volunteer family, you’ll unite with people in your community who are passionate about creating a world free from the pain and suffering caused by breast cancer.

Our volunteers help with important aspects including providing information about breast and cervical cancer screening and the Wisconsin Well Woman Program, asking walkers to sign petitions to send to congress to increase cancer reesarch, cheering on walkers, and more.

It is the values that are inherent in humanity in general and our volunteers in particular that give us the advantage over cancer.
With your support, we will walk together, with determination, hope, empathy, caring, and passion, so no one has to walk alone.
