Sen. Roy Blunt to Cancer Patients "“We Stand with Them”

September 17, 2021

Tomorrow, communities will honor lives affected by cancer when Lights of Hope Across America takes place on the front porches, kitchen tables and lawns of advocates nationwide. Participates will hear from Missouri’s own Sen. Roy Blunt. The Senator will share that he is a two-time cancer survivor and he will say to those currently battling cancer and their families that “we stand with them”.

The Lights of Hope event is the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network’s (ACS CAN) signature event dedicated to honoring those touched by cancer and remembering those lost. This year ACS CAN is celebrating the 11th anniversary of Lights of Hope.

With help from volunteers across the country, ACS CAN will collect more than 50,000 Lights of Hope that will be displayed in communities across America.
