Project Pink Lungs seeks to gather grassroots support and momentum to continue to adequately fund the Montana Tobacco Use Prevention Program (MTUPP) Program, to protect the Montana Clean Indoor Air Act, and to significantly raise the state tobacco tax. Tobacco Use remains the #1 actual preventable cause of death in the state of Montana. We know that by funding prevention and cessation programs, limiting exposure to secondhand smoke, and raising the cost of tobacco products--We CAN save lives and save money.
