New Graphic Images for Cigarette Packs
If a picture is worth a thousand words, it is also worth thousands of fewer smokers?
Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration unveiled new graphic warning labels that could be placed on packs of cigarettes starting in September 2012.
The images focus on smoking’s impact on the health of kids and adults, with images of newborn children, diseased lungs and teeth, and a crying woman. Read the news release to learn more.

The only one I think “might” work with young people is the first one. The rest of them probably won’t even register.

I used to smoke cigarettes, until I had a Cancer scare myself. When that happened, I never touched another cigarette again. It’s been almost 7 years since I have smoked one.

How about lobbying our Surgeon General to have the companies place the NICOTINE CONTENT on the side of each box of cigarettes??? Over the past few years – there has been Nicotine Patches, Gum, etc… but what difference does that make if the companies just keep increasing the amount of NICOTINE in each pack making smokers more and more addicted!!! We don’t need scare tactics… we need facts… we don’t need pictures of black lung or a skull and crossbone on a pack of cigarettes – we need to know that the two for one special that they are getting the people who can’t even afford a pack of cigarettes – has TWICE the amount of NICOTINE in it than the 5.50 pack of premium cigarettes. These companies are using simple Crack Dealer tactics and you’re concerned about making stupid commercials and putting over dramatic pictures on the packages. People are not that ignorant… They know smoking will kill them – they don’t need to be reminded… but letting them know that the CRACK DEALERS are giving them the Pure Nicotine at half price for the cheapest brands just to keep them hooked is WRONG!!! If you want to make a difference – FORCE THE COMPANIES TO PLACE THE NICOTINE CONTENT ON EACH PACKAGE AND HAVE THE NICOTINE AMOUNT REGULATED!!!!!
