Johnson County, IN Passes Smoke-Free Law

November 5, 2012

This morning, Johnson County, Indiana commissioners unanimously passed a smoke-free ordinance that prohibits smoking in all public businesses, including bars, hotels, restaurants and private clubs.  The ban is stricter than rules previously passed in the cities of Franklin and Greenwood, which now will have to follow the county’s ban.  This new law will take effect on January 1, 2013.  Congratulations!
