In spite of its success and popularity, a small group of vocal opponents continue their attempts to weaken the law to allow smoking rooms and other exceptions.

- Defend Freedom to Breathe. Join the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network to become one of our soldiers on the ground, ready to take action should new assaults arise.
- Thank your legislators. Send a quick note of thanks and let them know how much you appreciate their support for a smoke-free Minnesota. If your legislators didn't vote for the law, remind them that the public likes the new law and encourage them to resist efforts to weaken it in the future.
