The Power of the Purse - Cancer and Tobacco Control Funding
Because the Governor and the Maryland General Assembly hold the purse strings to funding, valuable cancer and tobacco control programs in our state, we need to urge them to protect the funding for these life-saving programs. Funding for these programs was drastically cut over the pass few years. This means less money to prevent and detect cancer early, less money to save lives. Let’s reverse this trend!
