Who is Relay Advocacy Chair?
Basic Responsibilities:

Promote ACS CAN and advocacy campaigns at your local Relay activities before, during, and after the event.

Work with your Relay committee chair to make sure Advocacy is on the Agenda for every relay meeting, training, or activity.

Take a few minutes to talk about ACS CAN's successes. Pass out ACS Can information.Recruit & renew ACS CAN memberships through Relay For Life.

Set a recruitment goal before the event.

Provide information about why Relayers should join ACS CAN.

Pass out recruitment forms & ASK people to join.

Mobilize fellow Relayers to FIGHT BACK through advocacy year round by attending Lobby day and contacting elected officials on cancer related issues. How can you be successful??

Be ready to tell your story & why you FIGHT BACK with Advocacy. Know the facts about ACS CAN & Advocacy. How has cancer touched your life??

Use your Relay Advocacy Handbook available on ine and in your Relay Advocacy Kit mailed to you. Use your Relay for Life Advocacy Checklist.

Use Advocacy Stage Annoncements at your Relay Event Use additional Kansas RFL Track Signs at your campsite.
