Special Update - April 20, 2010
There is very encouraging news from the Capitol, as we have seen significant progress to Save Florida's Cancer Research Programs in the last 24 hours. As of Tuesday, April 20th, $40 million has been restored to the state's peer-reviewed, competitive biomedical research programs. As the health care budget now stands, the King Biomedical Research Program is scheduled to be funded at $22.2 million next year, with the Bankhead-Coley Cancer Research Program set to receive $20 million.
Please watch for e-mail alerts, and visit www.acscan.org/florida frequently, as circumstances in Tallahassee can change quickly during the final days of the session. Thanks for all you do for our cause!
