Cancer Resource Volunteers Needed
The American Cancer Society is launching a Cancer Resource Volunteer (CRV) program for the John A. DeQuattro Cancer Center in Manchester and Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford. The program trains interested volunteers to provide direct outreach to cancer patients and their loved ones using the Society’s Cancer Resource Volunteer curriculum. CRV’s speak with cancer patients who are receiving treatment in cancer center infusion areas, and/or radiation oncology waiting areas. Volunteers share information about the Society’s Cancer Resource Network of available support programs and services and complete appropriate program forms. Training is provided by the American Cancer Society.
